Almost Christmas!

Hello all,

This Christmas I decided to ask for something that I've been wanting for a few years now. A Cardrunners membership! Been wanting this for awhile but never thought it was important enough to actually put the money into it myself (since I don't have much, like most ppl these days). To my family around me, the request for an online poker training subscription is an odd one, but it's a decision that I have put a lot of thought into.

I look at it this way. Instead of getting a lot of gifts for Christmas, I have decided to invest in myself becoming a better poker player. If this ends up working out, I will be able to afford to buy myself some things, which would definitely be more satisfying than receiving those same items at Christmas. Plus I will still receive plenty of gifts from aunts and uncles, so I like my decision.

Right now I have around $45 in my PokerStars account. At the moment I am starting to play $5.40 Double or Nothing Sit-N-Go's. So far I have won 2/2, which I am obviously pleased with. I know that I don't really have enough buy-ins to be playing these (should probably have around 20-30 buyins), but I feel like these are a low variance way to bankroll build right now, though I will have to drop down to $1 tourneys if I get down to $30 or so. Please feel free to comment on what you think of this bankroll strategy. Bankroll management has definitely been a problem for me in the past, and something I hope to conquer this time around.

My ultimate goal is to improve my MTT(Multi-table tournament) skills through using the Cardrunners videos and forums. I really can't wait to get on there and start learning from some really amazing players. If you want to check out who the coaches are at Cardrunners, go over to cardrunners.com.

I will try to keep this blog as updated as I can. Most likely I will begin to post about things I am learning on CR, so this will hopefully become a valuable source for myself and others.

Wish me luck :)
